Privacy Policy

Fast Goblin is designed for local-first fasting tracking. Your fasting history stays on your device unless platform backup, widgets, purchase validation, analytics, diagnostics, or support tools are involved as explained below.

Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the Fast Goblin iOS and Android apps, widgets where available, onboarding, paywall, notifications, purchase flow, analytics, diagnostics, and support links.

The app developer listed on the store product page is responsible for this policy. Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and PostHog may also process data under their own policies when their services are used.

Data stored on your device

Fast Goblin stores fasting sessions, active fast start time, goal hours, history, streak inputs, settings, onboarding state, notification preferences, selected tab, and widget state in local app storage. On iOS, widget state may also use an App Group shared with the widget extension. On Android, local app storage and platform backup settings may apply where available.

Calculated stats such as streaks, averages, completion rate, calendar dots, and trends are derived from your saved sessions. They are not sold, used for advertising, or sent as raw fasting history by our app analytics layer.

If iCloud Backup, Google backup, device backup, or device sync is enabled on your device, your platform provider may include app data in backups or device services according to your account settings and provider policies.

Purchases and entitlement data

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, depending on where you downloaded the app. Fast Goblin uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, restore purchases, manage entitlements, and understand whether the app should be unlocked.

RevenueCat and the app may process an app user identifier, entitlement status, product identifier, transaction or receipt metadata, subscription status, trial or offer eligibility where available, app version, device or store information needed for purchase validation, and related diagnostics. We do not receive your full payment card number.

Analytics, diagnostics, and logs

Fast Goblin may use PostHog for product analytics, diagnostics, crash/error capture, and logs. Events are designed to be privacy-conscious and product-scoped, such as onboarding completion, purchase button taps, notification choices, screen names, coarse fast-duration buckets, and app diagnostics.

We configure analytics to avoid session replay, screen recordings, broad autocapture, advertising identifiers, raw fasting session history, raw fast start or end timestamps, names, phone numbers, emails, and medical notes.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Fast Goblin may schedule local reminders for fast completion, useful milestones, still-fasting check-ins, water check-ins, daily rhythm reminders, streak risk, and weekly summaries.

Notification permission status and preferences are used to schedule reminders on your device. Fast Goblin does not need a remote push token for the local notifications currently used by the app.

Support and feedback

If you tap Submit feedback, Fast Goblin may open the available store review flow when the app has a published store listing. If you use Request a feature, Fast Goblin opens an email draft addressed to feature@fastgoblin.com with your request text.

Your email app and email provider may process the message, sender address, and related email metadata. Do not submit medical details, passwords, payment card numbers, or highly sensitive personal information in feature request emails.

Why we use data

We use data to operate the app, save your fasting history, show widgets, calculate stats, send reminders you enable, verify paid access, restore purchases, troubleshoot errors, improve product quality, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and comply with law.

Where GDPR, UK GDPR, India Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or similar laws apply, our legal bases may include performance of the app contract, your consent for optional permissions such as notifications, legitimate interests in app security, diagnostics, and product improvement, and legal obligations such as purchase, tax, compliance, or dispute handling.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data, broker your data, or use it for third-party advertising. We do not use fasting history for targeted advertising.

We may share limited data with Apple or Google for store purchases, reviews, and platform services, RevenueCat for purchase management, PostHog for analytics and diagnostics, email providers for support or feature-request messages, and authorities or advisors if required for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, or rights-protection reasons.

International processing

Service providers may process data in the United States, India, the European Economic Area, or other countries where they or their infrastructure operate. Privacy laws may differ by country.

When required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, provider commitments, platform controls, and lawful transfer mechanisms for international processing.

Retention and deletion

Local fasting data remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, reset the device, or your platform backup/device settings remove it. You can use Settings > Delete all app data to remove the app data stored by Fast Goblin on this device and mirrored widget storage where available.

Purchase records may be retained by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat as needed for billing, entitlement, tax, fraud prevention, refund, and compliance purposes. Analytics, diagnostics, email support, and feature-request records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above or as required by law.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including under GDPR or UK GDPR, the India Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and similar privacy laws, you may have rights to access, confirm processing, correct, delete, export or port data, withdraw consent, object or restrict certain processing, nominate or authorize someone where law allows, file a grievance, or complain to a supervisory authority.

The fastest way to control local fasting data is inside the app: edit your behavior by starting or ending fasts, disable reminders, use Delete all app data, revoke notifications in iOS or Android settings, or cancel subscriptions in your store account settings. For provider-held data or legal rights requests, use the developer support contact listed on the store product page.

Security

We use platform protections such as iOS and Android app sandboxes, shared widget storage where available, platform purchase flows, and limited analytics properties. No storage or transmission method is perfectly secure.

You are responsible for protecting your device, Apple ID or Google account, passcode, backups, and subscription access.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app, providers, laws, or store requirements change. The updated date will change when we make material updates.

If a change materially affects how we handle personal data, we will take reasonable steps to make the change noticeable in the app or store listing.

Contact

Contact and rights requests: email helpme@fastgoblin.com or use the developer support contact listed on the store product page. Product ideas can be sent through Settings > Request a feature. If you are submitting a privacy request, include enough information for us to understand and verify the request. Do not send medical details.
